Dree Hemingway has devoted her full attention to modeling in the past, but now, the top model is ready to venture down a new career path!
While hanging backstage at Milan Fashion Week, the blonde beauty hinted that she may be working on her very own lingerie line, which has been in the works for over a year. According to reports, Dree had to put her designs on the back burner for a bit as modeling continued to take up most of her time: “I didn’t want to do anything half-heartedly,” said Dree.
However, now that the literary heiress has landed a major campaign at Ermanno Scervino, and has racked up some major style points in the process, we’d say that there is actually no better time than now to return to the drawing boards!
“I love that ’70s vibe— unbleached fabrics, oversized trousers— and I have a book of ’70s climbers wearing perfectly disheveled outfits in California so that would be inspiration,” added the top model.
And, it looks like Dree isn’t the only model with some some off-runway gigs in mind. In an interview with The Sunday Times, supermodel Lara Stone also revealed her unexpected career back-up plan, if she should ever leave the modeling world.
“I’d like to have my own burger place,” said Lara. “I’m going to call it Lara’s Baps and Buns. There’s not a proper good caff here. I want a proper good chips place. They’re all too fancy. My life is quite fancy, but I still like chips. That’s the plan.”
Cali-cool designs and grade-A burgers, huh? Count us in!
