EJF Has Major Model Approval

For the past few seasons, the Environmental Justice Foundation has partnered designers and models to put a stop to forced child labor in the cotton industry.

This year over 30 models, including Noémie Lenoir, Noot Seear, Liu Wen, Arlenis Sosa, Lakshmi Menon, Constance Jablonski, Poppy Delevigne, and Devon Aoki, join the already impressive list of models by taking part in the movement. In the past, Magdalena Frackowiak, Karlie Kloss, and Eniko Mihalik have donned the designer T-shirts to work toward eradicating the problem. For Summer 2010, photographer Eric Guillemain again captures each girl’s pose, but designers Jenny Packham, Richard Nicoll, Ciel, and Alice Temperley created the new collection of organic T-shirts as part of the Pick Your Cotton Carefully campaign.

Alice Temperley explained her involvement, saying, “I wanted to make this T-shirt for the Environmental Justice Foundation, to help those poor innocent children with no way out, no dreams of their own, and in order to highlight the chronic and severe exploitation across the industry.”

Purchase yours on the EJF website, where they retail for about $47.
