Elettra Weidemann's Bringing Gourmet Goodness Back to NYFW and possibly PFW, too!

Last season supermodel Elettra Wiedemann introduced Goodness to Fashion Week; a pop-up restaurant featuring rotating top chefs and menus for hungry fashionistas looking for a bite in between shows. Well, the gourmet Goodness is back again with a special new twist that has wishing we could reserve a spot for the next seven days to come.

Never ones to leave our readers in the dark, we caught up with Elettra to get the details on Goodness’s new perks and find out which tasty treats she’s currently craving. Check out our Q&A with the supermodel entrepreneur below!

Modelinia: What can we expect to see from Goodness this Fashion Week? Anything new?

Elettra: Yes! Goodness is always new! This time we are having GOODNESS inside the Museum of Art and Design at a fabulous restaurant, called Robert. It’s a fabulous space with panoramic views of Columbus Circle and Central Park. Our amazing guest chefs this time are Mario Batali, Leo Forneas, Allain Allegretti, and Julian Medina.

Additionally, as requested, this time we have built The GOODNESS Lounge, presented by The Daily Front Row and CIRCA. This space, fabulously decorated by BoConcept and Renaissance luxury hotels, is a relaxed place where tired fashionistas can come put their feet up and re-charge. There will also be touch up stations by Lancome to ensure you are always looking fresh and your most gorgeous! We’ll serve coffee, tea, water, Vita Coco, Ty-Ku sake, and Kanon Vodka drinks to help boost morale to go back out and face the fashion madness. Finally, we have a fabulous R-Life Lounge DJ who will spin fun tunes to keep us all upbeat!

Modelinia: Can you tell us a bit about the chefs who are joining the Goodness team this season?

Elettra: Mario Batali is obviously totally legendary! I have been a fan of his for many years, so am so happy to be working with him on this GOODNESS. He will be cooking a menu inspired by his Babbo restaurant. Leo Forneas is the chef at Robert and was trained under Jean Georges. He was also the chef at Buddakhan before cooking at Robert. We also have Alain Allegretti, of Promenade des Anglais. Promenade restaurant opened recently and is fabulous! He recently received a very positive review in The New York Times. On Valentine’s Day, we have the wonderful Julian Medina who was on Iron Chef and has amazing Mexican restaurants all around the city, including Toloache, Yerba Buena, and Coppelia. I went to dinner at Yuerba Buena recently and it was so yummy, and I had a blast!!

Modelinia: Last season you mentioned an interest in expanding Goodness and taking it overseas to other Fashion Weeks. Will Goodness be going anywhere in Europe this year?

Elettra: I am really hoping for Paris, but still need to get solid steps in place. Just doing one GOODNESS at a time is borderline overwhelming! I would also need to spend time in Paris finding the right place, the right partners… I always want GOODNESS pop ups to be very thoughtful and carefully planned and orchestrated.

Modelinia: What’s your favorite item on the Goodness menu?

Elettra: They are all so delicious and different, so impossible to choose. Batali is hearty, delicious Italian; Leo is amazing French/Asian fusion; Allegretti is French/Italian/American fusion; and Medina is Mexican. Of course, if you have dietary restrictions/need to fit into sample sizes, GOODNESS also provides a shorter menu, which has just healthy, clean, and delicious options available. This healthy menu is unchanging for all 4 days so you know what your going to get every time. I know predictability and planning is essential when you have to watch what you eat!
