Roberto Cavalli has named Elisa Sednaoui as the face of the company’s next fragrance, which will be on beauty counters beginning spring 2012. The Italian-born, Egyptian-raised model will appear in print and television ads for the worldwide campaign with Johan Renck as the film director and Steven Klein as the print photographer.
“Elisa is self-confident and she has an amazing personality.” said Roberto Cavalli. “She has this animal side, she is enthusiastic, really sexy with a stunning body and hypnotic eyes. She is the woman every woman would like to be, so she is the real Cavalli woman.”
In addition to modeling, Elisa has proven her talent as an actress in the French movie Bus Palladium directed by Christopher Thompson, and will soon be featured in David Manuli’s Italian adaptation of The Legend of Kaspar Hauser with Vincent Gallo. Her connections to the fashion world don’t stop at modeling—she’s the niece of photographer Stephane Sednaoui and the goddaughter of French footwear designer Christian Louboutin. We can only dream of how fabulous her collection of red-soled heels is.
“I feel like I have a tiger inside”, said Elisa. “I’m blessed and very grateful to have the opportunity to be the face of the Roberto Cavalli fragrance, it’s a real honor.” —Renee Lucas
