Fall Campaigns Love the Countryside and Bright Pinks

According to designers this fall, the countryside is beckoning—and we have the campaign images to prove it. First there was Chanel in Vermont, then Chloé, and now Mulberry is out in the woods, too.

Mulberry brought Irina Kulikova and Kasia Struss together for their Fall ‘09 ad, shot by Steven Meisel. It’s slightly lost-in-the-woods meets uptown girls given the gloves and cropped-sleeve jackets. What do you think of the eccentric hairstyles?

Miu Miu, could we love the color choices more? For the Fall ‘09 campaign, the brand brought together Hannah Holman, Mikaela “Mimmi” Söderström, Victoria Tuaz, and Whitney Coble to work with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, and stuck to the black and white theme. Though the image is in total monotone, the pose and beauty pulls through, and the slight colors of the clothes and purses are highlighted beautifully.

Balmainia continues with Anja Rubik, the face of the campaign for Fall ‘09. She’s rocking the strong shoulders, against a bright orange background, which just makes her blonde hair and gorgeous dark clothing stand out that much more. The perfect pointy flats, the angled hair, the skinny cropped pants—it’s all so Parisian. We’re in love.

Continuing the Anja obsession, she’s also posing for Guiseppe Zanotti, shot by Inez and Vinoodh. The hair is exactly like her Vogue Paris cover and shot by the same photographers, which makes us wonder if it was a long-term inspiration or same-day shoot.

Finally, there’s Maryna Linchuk who shows off a perfect pout for Dior Addict Lipstick. If you were thinking that hot pink was ever going to be on the out, then this just proves that theory wrong, wrong, wrong.

And though the image isn’t out yet, Dennis Basso chose to work with Naomi Campbell for his campaign images. Just this past winter, the two were reacquainted at a Saint Moritz party at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel. To join the supermodel, the brand brought together photographer Tom Munro, stylist Patti Wilson, and creative director Giovanni Bianco. “During these economic times, we wanted to take the opportunity to be noticed—to show we are here and here to stay,” Basso said. Look for the images in Vogue this September.
