In February 2008, Natalia Vodianova brought love to Russia in the form of her very first Love Ball to raise funds for her charity, the Naked Heart Foundation.
Now she’s back at her efforts, but this time the massive event is moving to London. Harper’s Bazaar will cohost the first Love Ball London at the Roundhouse in Camden. As Fashion Week in London ends, the Love Ball will begin: On February 23, 2010, fashion designers, models, and friends of Natalia will come together to raise money for her charity that builds playgrounds for children.
Natalia’s very hands-on with the event, as she’s not only the brains behind it, but also designed a piece of jewelry—a 3.5 carat diamond and a 2.5 carat pink diamond—with De Beers to be sold on auction. In addition to her gems, art from Jake and Dinos Chapman, Tracey Emin, Francesco Vezzoli, and Pavel Pepperstein will be on auction as well.
If you can’t make it to the London event in February, Natalia’s returning to Moscow for April—and she’s already asked 40 designers, including Valentino, Karl Lagerfeld, and Dolce & Gabbana, to create designs.
