Irina Lazareanu bounced into the boutique like a kid heading into a toy store and beelined it straight for designer and friend Phillip Lim, who himself had just arrived. The two hugged and talked, forgetting that there was even an event going on around them. “She is my muse, forever and always,” Phillip gushed. Irina, who missed the last show season, was happy to be back among friends. “I am really excited to get to see friends and catch up. I was away for a while and it is nice to be back and be welcomed back by Phillip and everyone here.”
Phillip says the week is the perfect time to reflect on “how lucky we are to work in this industry, to have amazing friends like Irina, and to really appreciate it all.” And what better night than Fashion’s Night Out to do it! The designer was excited to show Irina his new pieces—five redeveloped ones from his archives—and Irina especially loved the made-to-order studded leather jacket. “This is perfect!” she exclaimed.
