While the street fairs went on in Soho, uptown was slightly more civilized and orderly, though no cabs were to be found anywhere. Angel fans circled the block at the new Victoria’s Secret store on 58th and Lexington for a chance to meet Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr. Inside, the tranquil atmosphere of Victoria’s Secret took over, as a mannequin wearing black panties and a DIY Fashion’s Night Out shirt greeted guests. Meanwhile there were makeup stations and salesladies ready to assist with shopping, but upstairs held the real excitement. A very preggers Adriana sat with a newly blonder Miranda and the pair tirelessly signed photos for fans. “I’ve been here since 4, and I’m here till closing at 11! I’ll pick up a few bras and panties on the way out. Every time I’m so amazed at how many people come!”
Though she’s not walking in any shows, Miranda will be sitting front row at Calvin Klein later this week. “They invited me, and I said I’d love to come. It’ll be the first time that I’ll be sitting front row in New York. It’s a nice change—I get to relax!”
Heading out of Angel land, it was off to Solange Azagury-Partridge’s store to check out the special edition Hot Lips ring, which were benefiting (RED). Guests perused the different color choices while sipping champers and eating hot dogs. When in New York…~ Bianca Posterli
