Fashion's Night Out Keeps it Classy on the Upper East Side

Leaving downtown’s Fashion’s Night Out chaos behind, we made our way to the always classy and chic Upper East Side to mix and mingle with some of the most elegant supermodels. First stop was Saks Fifth Avenue where we practically bumped into Hilary Rhoda as we walked through the door. Looking radiant as always, Hilary was gearing up to pose with fans and photographers at Estee Lauder’s booth with fellow models Constance Jablonski and Joan Smalls. “I love working with Tom [Pecheux]. He’s such a sweetheart,” Hilary said of the brand’s frontman. Letting Hilary return to her anxiously waiting fans, we made our way over to Lancome’s beauty booth to catch up the brand’s spokesmodel Elettra Wiedemann. We found Elettra, clad in a bright neon pink Zara dress, gabbing away with fans getting their make-up done by the cosmetics team. “You look gorgeous!”, Elettra said to one blushing fan, “let’s make sure to take a picture together when you’re finished.” Always humble and modest, Elettra chatted with us about her Fashion Week pop-up restaurant Goodness and her recent travels to Iceland! “I did a home share actually and the friend I made through it is actually coming tonight!” Truth be told Elettra is one of the most down-to-earth people we’ve met which was only emphasized by how much fun she was having hanging out with the guests.

After finishing with the cosmetics floor and receiving perhaps one too many squirts of perfume we went to see Doutzen Kroes and Christian Cota pixel painting on the fourth floor. The pair were adorable, giggling while painting and posing for fans. Pixel painting never looked so fun!

Next on the list was Calvin Klein where GQ’s newly named Woman of the YearLara Stone, stood patiently posing for a swarm of photographers. Eager to find out the details of her experience at GQ’s award ceremony we pushed our way through the crowd to find Lara more than happy to move away from the cameras and have a little chat. “Oh my God I was so nervous! I was sitting up there with Johnny Depp and Keith Richards just staring at them, thinking how am I up here!” she said of the ceremony which happened but a mere three days ago. Who knew, supermodels get star struck too!

After a quick glass of champagne we were off to David Yurman where Joan Smalls and Arizona Muse were hanging out with the jewelry designer and his family. Snagging Joan away for a quick second before she was off to snap some candids with David, she told us of her excitement to be walking in Jason Wu’s show as he also happens to be one of her favorite designers. Arizona quickly chimed in letting us both know that she too would be walking in the show upon which we said, “Great! See you then!”

And finally we ended our evening with Jessica Stam at Roger Vivier where she joked around at a photo booth making silly faces with fans and friends alike. After posing for a few photos with the blonde beauty, we chatted about her summer highlights which consisted of relaxing on her boat while drinking margaritas. Sounds absolutely perfect to us!
