Fashion’s Night Out started with a jam-packed Macy’s in the Queens Center Mall, where Michael Kors and a surprise celebrity appearance by Kate Hudson took the stage to make a very enthusiastic introduction for the cast of the hit Broadway show Hair. Mayor Michael Bloomberg followed up with a speech, saying, “You can’t say no to those two!” referring to Anna Wintour and Diane von Furstenberg’s proposition to hold Fashion’s Night Out.
Anxious fashionistas waited as Anna, other members of the Vogue team, and models Raquel Zimmermann and Sessilee Lopez—who looked stunning—posed for pictures. Anna patiently signed the first 50 T-shirts purchased (which sold out at QCM around 1 p.m.!). Anna made a quick getaway and the gorgeous Vogue boutique was unveiled, leaving shoppers to adore the merchandise.
