Uptown, downtown, across town—the Fashion Week parties have already begun.
In Soho, Curve hosted an event to launch pieces designed by Preen, Mark Fast, Raquel Allegra, Unconditional, Not Rational, IRO, and Genetic Denim at its store on Mercer Street. To tunes mixed by model DJ Harley Viera Newton, Caroline Winberg, and Hana Soukupova celebrated amidst huge hearts and Pucca dolls.
Meanwhile, in the Meatpacking District the Sundance Channel and Full Frontal Fashion celebrated the premiere of “Catwalk Countdown,” their new web series that follows ten up and coming designers—Chris Benz, Erin Fetherston, and Christian Cota to name a few—as they prepare to show for New York Fashion Week. The series documents everything from the creative process to the final runway show, putting viewers in the designer’s shoes on what it’s really like to put together a show.

Though dark and very crowded, Modelinia spotted Coco Rocha with her doting boyfriend, Erin Fetherston, and the adorable Brad Goreski among several other fashion insiders as they mixed and mingled poolside at the Standard. Complete with music from DJ Paul Sevigny and a preview of the series, it was the perfect kickoff to the long—but exciting!—week ahead!
Late night, revelers hit up the Hudson Hotel, where Interview celebrated its 40th anniversary, but the most exciting part was Naomi Campbell’s appearance!
