Though Richard Chai showed his Love collection on February 11th, he saved the celebratory party for Valentine’s evening, with a festive love-filled event at White Slab Palace on the Lower East Side. While reasons for commemorating the new designs are aplenty, Barneys New York threw the event to celebrate their launch of the line. Among the detailed host committee, Poppy Delevigne ranked alongside designers like Thakoon, Phillip Lim, and of course, Julie Gilhart.
Walking down the street just before entering the party, Modelinia heard tunes from DJ Harley Viera Newton, encompassing a playlist which she described as “Love songs only.” Inside, the setting was perfect for love secrets, as the location was dark, with a variety of nooks and crannies, all filled to the brim with fashion partygoers. Upon entering, Modelinia found Elite agents Calvin Wilson and Micki Schneider, there to support their girlies.
