Fei Fei Sun Makes History on the Cover of Vogue Italia!

The new year has only just begun, and already we have the honor of announcing a groundbreaking model moment! Thanks to the good people at Vogue Italia, it appears that Fei Fei Sun has just become the first Chinese model to land a solo cover for the international glossy, marking a new beginning in the worlds of fashion and modeling.

Shot by Steven Meisel, the momentous January issue even pays tribute to the legendary Sixties model China Machado, with Fei Fei posing for the cover in retro winged eyeliner, a polished beehive and a classic Chanel tweed jacket.  While influenced by Richard Avedon’s signature ’60s studio shots, the Chinese beauty appears elegant and well-styled in looks by Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren, albeit with a bit of modern flare.  The result: nostalgia perfected!

Congratulations to Fei Fei on her landmark Vogue Italia cover!  Get the first look at the swinging ’60s themed shoot below.
