In what felt like a step back to the 1930s, Maryna Linchuk, Karolina Kurkova, Alana Zimmer, Constance Jablonski, and Mariacarla Boscono embraced the era and decorated the James B. Duke mansion on the Upper East Side for the Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 show. Massimiliano Giornetti dressed his muses in cinematic elegance, pairing the remarkable models’ presence with a show-stopping backdrop of a huge marble staircase to match with chiffon, crystal, and sequins. While one gorgeous look after the next came down the runway, we were thrilled to see a brilliant cast of well known models and runway regulars saunter by. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon, we say.
