Modelinia caught up with Sessilee Lopez at the Vans Model Lounge during Fashion Week to chat about music, hair, and what she’d be doing if she wasn’t modeling.

Where are you from?
Philadelphia.
What’s the last concert you saw?
Common, it was at a Diesel party for his cologne. He really did his thing.
What’s on your iPod right now?
Lots of Trey Songz, Kanye, and Janet [Jackson]. Control’s my favorite old-school Janet album.
You switch between long and short hair a lot. Which do you prefer?
Hmmm… I like the long hair—it’s sort of like my alter ego. But I prefer my hair short. I think it makes a stronger statement.
You have done a lot of amazing things in your career already. What’s one goal you haven’t reached yet?
I would love to do a shoot for American Vogue.
What are your interests outside of modeling?
I have been taking acting lessons, which are going really well. If I wasn’t modeling, I would love to work as a stylist or fashion columnist.
