Maybelline New York is getting a fresh model face this Fall!
The beauty giant has just signed Freja Beha Erichsen as the latest spokesmodel to star in the brand’s fall and winter print and television advertisements. The Danish model will also be in good company, as she joins fellow spokesmodels Christy Turlington, Charlotte Free, Emily DiDonato, and Lisalla Montenegro.
“Freja is an incredibly beautiful and confident woman,” said Damien Bertrand, Maybelline’s global brand president, to WWD. “Not only is she a top model for a new generation, but she is also a modern style icon off the runway. She truly captures the catwalk-to-sidewalk spirit of Maybelline.”
The high-profile beauty gig follows an already impressive fashion resume. The top model has walked in runway shows for nearly every major fashion house — read: Chanel, Lanvin, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent — and has racked up a number of headlining ad campaigns to boot. This season alone, Freja has landed campaigns at Zara, Mo & Co., Valentino, and Hugo by Hugo Boss— not too shabby for a girl who grew up wanting to be a rockstar.
Is a Fashion Week runway moment in the works for Freja this week? We’ll keep you posted!
