Sexy came to town again, in the form of a Russian babe and her fellow Sports Illustrated swimsuit hotties.
On Tuesday night, Irina Shayk and the sixteen models who graced the pages of the 2011 issue came to Pranna to celebrate with editors, photographers, and Modelinia! We chatted with some of the girls on the red carpet - obviously you were watching the SI livestream - before heading inside to check out the festivities complete with serious picture taking moments. From 5 PM until about 6:30 when the new cover girl arrived, the red carpet was jam packed. Anne V discussed her love for vintage, pairing a major green moment with some hot pink heels, Damaris Lewis enjoyed what we like to call a Black Swan inspiration, which was really Gucci, and Hilary Rhoda went metallic in Versace. At one point, the crowds dispersed, and the carpet got a little quieter, but before we knew it, the photographers went crazy. Irina had arrived. As soon as we snagged a moment with her, we just had to ask how she felt. “I still can’t believe it,” she said. “I keep looking behind me to check it out!” Believe it, girl - you’re the newest cover model!
Once we made it inside, we found ourselves in the back of Pranna, hanging out with the girls as they slipped off their heels. Among the likes of Kanye West and Kid Cudi, Irina gamely posed for more photos with her cover, while Chrissy and John hung out, and the girls genuinely expressed their thrilled sentiments for each other. But all good things must come to an end at some point, and by 8:30 the SI hotties were packing their heels away, changing into more travel friendly clothes, and hopping on the shuttle for the airport.
