From the Lido with Karen and the Kaiser

It was only last week that models and editors sat on the Lido in Venice at sunset to see Karl Lagerfeld’s new creations for the Chanel Cruise 2010 show. But already the campaign images are out, starring Karen Elson and Baptiste Giabiconi, shot by none other than the Kaiser himself in a dark vintage-looking hotel room. In Venice perhaps? Though Karen didn’t strut on the boardwalk runway, she looks as if she went straight from the show to the photo shoot, with her short red curls and all.
