Even though Gemma Ward said she was planning on getting back into modeling, acting is still calling her name.
Most recently she starred in The Black Balloon, a film about a boy dealing with the pains of growing up and having to help raise his autistic brother. But now the same writer, Australian filmmaker Jimmy Jack, is apparently courting Gemma for a role in his zombie rockumentary, Zombie: Sex, Brains and Rock n’ Roll. ”Her name is Tambourine Girl and she’s the love interest for the frontman zombie,” Jack said. “The love story is kind of interesting, he’ll be all kind of romantic, saying things like she’s making him feel alive again.”
Given the fact that the film is set in Gemma and Jack’s hometown, casting the supermodel would just help the authenticity of the film. Other hopefuls for Jack’s film include Macaulay Culkin and a band from Perth. If these reports are true, we’re set to see Gemma in another film, and hopefully back in editorials and on the runway soon!
