Georgia May's Blues

Remember the news that Georgia May Jagger would be the face for Hudson Jeans?

Well now the images are coming in, and they’re nothing short of amazing. While she’s a newer face, Georgia May was chosen for her style and she’s sure to be a huge talent. “It’s all about her genes—literally and figuratively,” advertising executive David Lipman said. “It’s all about the heritage of having Mick Jagger as a dad and Jerry Hall as a mum. But more than anything, it’s her spirit that captivates me.”

So far only two images are of Georgia May, but her boyfriend, musician Django James, was involved in the shoot as well. “It’s the biggest campaign we’ve ever done, and it will take the brand to that next level,” Hudson Jeans CEO Peter Kim said. “We thought, how magical would it be to bring in a real relationship, and put that into something that we could communicate with the rest of the world?” Kim said. The pair shot with Mario Sorrenti in London and stylist Camilla Nickerson.

Georgia May is not only in this season’s campaign, but she’s also been signed for the next three years. Despite that, there’s still a bit of flexibility. “We don’t want to put someone in a contract and they look at it after a year and go, ‘I’m just hawking this thing,’” Lipman said. “We made it a unique contract because we want this to be pure and real.”

And this won’t be the only season that Hudson Jeans will feature Georgia May in their campaign: She’s been signed for the next three years. Despite that, there’s still a bit of flexibility. “We don’t want to put someone in a contract and they look at it after a year and go, ‘I’m just hawking this thing,’” Lipman said. “We made it a unique contract because we want this to be pure and real.”

Georgia May opened up about her future plans as well—which don’t include music it seems. “I think I’ll go down my own road.” The extent of how she shares her vocal talent? “Singing in the shower.” And while singing might not be in her future, Georgia May’s been stretching her creative bones in other ways. “I’ll turn an old Primark T-shirt into a dress,” she said. Add that to her modeling and the photographs she takes for photography class and there’s one very talented model.
