While some are off to Rio for Fashion Rocks, others are heading to Istanbul for the Fashionable Istanbul weekend, hosted by Bar Refaeli. Fashion Week isn’t just for New York, Milan, Paris, and London anymore!
Roberto Cavalli’s the designer of honor, and this evening, October 23, a gala in his honor will take place to kick off a weekend of events. “Istanbul is a seductive and mysterious city, a geographical bridge between my culture and the East,” said Roberto. If that wasn’t enough, add three days of Missoni goodness, and runway shows from Salvatore Ferragamo, Gianfranco Ferré, and Vivienne Westwood at Istanbul’s historic Dolmabahçe Palace! Even Margherita Missoni and Angela Missoni are heading over for the brand’s fashion show on October 25.
No word yet on Bar’s exact role as host, but hopefully we’ll see her on a runway or two.
