Gisele is having one successful business year. Along with being ranked at #60 on Forbes’ Most Powerful Woman list, #1 on their Highest-Paid Couple list, and outperforming the Dow Jones, the Brazilian supermodel just received the award for Best Green International Celebrity at the Green Awards.
This year the award ceremony chose to honor one celebrity based on an online public vote, and not surprisingly, Gisele won for her work with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) where she’s been the Goodwill Ambassador since 2009.
Remarking on her admirable environmental contributions, Gisele said, “I am blessed to have grown up in a family that embraced the importance of nature and community coexisting in harmony. My career in the public eye has given me the opportunity to raise awareness about important socio-environmental causes in the hope of promoting a more conscious relationship with our environment.”
