Though only a lucky few will own a copy of the Pirelli calendar, the images have made their way onto the Internet, meaning everyone can marvel at the beauty. And now, in addition to the sneak peek at the models in their godly forms, we have a 23 minute clip showing just how the calendar was created. This behind the scenes video shows Karl Largerfeld in action with each of his model gods and goddesses, as well as an interesting look at the master’s studio.
“The girls in the Pirelli calendar are the goddesses of today,” Karl says so accurately, as he snap, snap, snaps away at his model muses. While watching him in action (wearing silver studded gloves of course) it’s easy to see his devotion to the craft, and the relationship that he holds with the models.
