Good Deeds Go A Long Way

The goodness of Naomi Campbell just continues on and on! First she created Fashion for Relief, traveled to India to participate in Lakshmi Fashion Week to benefit the 26/11 attacks, and walked on the TsUM runway in Russia to benefit children suffering from leukemia. For all her good deeds, Naomi was just named the global ambassador of the White Ribbon Alliance for all the charity work she’s accomplished with Fashion for Relief. Sarah Brown, the British Prime Minister’s wife, honored her with the award at the African First Ladies Heath Summit. “When I met with Sarah Brown at Downing Street over a year ago, she explained in detail the staggering statistics around maternal mortality. I was deeply moved. We decided I would host Fashion for Relief 2008 in aid of the White Ribbon Alliance,” explains Campbell. “It is with great pride that I accept my role as global ambassador. I hope you will join me in continuing to support the important work of the White Ribbon Alliance.”
