Modelinia can barely believe that as of February 6, 2010, we’re ONE YEAR OLD!
We know your lives haven’t been the same since we arrived, and let’s be honest: The world’s a better place with Modelinia in it. Though it’s been only 12 short months, Modelinia is hardly teetering around like a toddler. Instead, we launched with a bang during Fashion Week—well, really a Heidi Klum kidnapping to be specific—and haven’t stopped since. In just 365 days, we’ve accomplished a massive amount, and more than we can realize! Check out the highlights below!
- Even before we launched, Modelinia was thinking of you and the models. We created personalized pins, which models traded and wore backstage during Fashion Week. Did you snag one?
- Since Modelinia knows you love model history as much as we do, our historians created a timeline so you can go model-research happy
- We celebrated the Met’s Costume Institute “The Model as Muse” exhibit, and even hosted our own after-party
- Last Valentine’s Day, Modelinia made the fashion industry our Valentines with personalized Necco candy hearts
- Model spawn took over the year, and we waited to see the new bundles of joy from Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova, Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, and Jourdan Dunn
- Thanks to Flip cams and mini videos, we launched Mobile Style Spy to take you behind the scenes
- We created a special page for Fashion Week, dedicated to bringing you all the news from the shows, complete with a live Twitter feed of all your favorite models Tweets
- When it came time for the annual Victoria’s Secret show, we set up a page for all the Angel news and a Livestream from the pink carpet and after-party for everyone at home to join in the fun
- Julie Henderson got Kirsched with David Kirsch to bring the fitness guru’s workouts into your home
- The new series Models of the Runway premiered, and we snagged model bloggers to bring you all the details
- Modelinia brought the world to Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween party thanks to the Livestream, hosted by Nick Verreos
- Our music obsession shined through thanks to our “She’s with the Band” series, featuring Katy Perry with Behati Prinsloo and Nick Jonas with Damaris Lewis
- Coco Rocha put her production skills to the test to create the music video “She’s a Genius” for Fashion’s Night Out
- We took to the streets during Fashion’s Night Out and partied our heels off with the models
- In response to the tragedy in Haiti, Modelinia hosted an event at SPiN New York with models galore, raising over $30,000
- Heidi Klum saved the world in Spiked Heel
- Though Modelinia’s based in New York, we went on the road with our Westfield Style Tour and helped women across America find their Style Profile
- To pair with the Style Profiles, we created a new fashion homepage, the Stylizer, complete with the perfect fashion finder—and procrastination—tool
- Modelinia continues to bring you all the latest from the modeling industry, as well as in-depth looks at the models through videos, slideshows, articles, our Tweets, Mobile Style Spies, and blog posts
