Though the weather was less than perfect on Friday morning, Modelinia woke up bright and early to experience the first ever public Project Runway public fashion show in Battery Park City at The Esplanade Plaza. While the show was set to start at 9 AM, fans gathered at the Plaza extra early just to catch all of the behind the scenes action and the set up.
As show time drew closer, a buzz was in the air, because joining host Heidi Klum was not only her regular judging partners, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, but also Kim Kardashian! Boasting about her summer runnign project, Heidi was all smiles, waving to onlookers and supportive Project Runway fans. With a hint from the supermodel host warning us to expect fun and interesting challenges, Heidi, Michael, Nina, and Kim settled in to watch the runway show. Considering the show premieres on July 28th, each contestants was present to ensuring no details were revealed before the season begins to air. Keeping with the trend of interesting, models took to the runway in stilts to show off the collections, allowing for an ideal view for all. ~ Sydney Ruby
