Heidi Klum already donates her time to charity, as she is the ambassador for Heart Truth and walks the runway in red during Fashion Week.
But now she and Michael Kors are working with Saks Fifth Avenue and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for Saks’ 2009 Key to the Cure campaign. “It’s important that we all work continuously to find the cure for cancer and to find answers,” Heidi said of her participation with the foundation.
Michael created a limited-edition white long-sleeve T-shirt, which Heidi models. “I was playing around with it,” said Kors of the design, “and when I was down in Florida, I thought, I love the idea of Palm Beach punk, because I always love the idea of taking a panther print, and in pink, it is feminine and glamorous. Every woman I know wants to live in white jeans, so if you can throw it on with white jeans or a skinny black pant, it’s the perfect thing.”
In addition to the new shirt, Saks will also host a charity shopping weekend October 15 through 18. They are showing their commitment to help find a cure for cancer by not only donating a portion of the sales, but have also planned to give $500,000. The shirt will be on sale at Saks for $40 in October, with a portion of the proceeds going to the charity.
And in other Kors news, he’s set to bring Heidi and Coco Rocha to tonight’s CFDA Fashion Awards! Can’t wait to see what the gorgeous ladies will be wearing.
