Her Name Was Lola

Karlie Kloss is a Marc Jacobs girl. Or really, we should say Karlie is now Lola, MJ’s newest girl.

Marc just released his newest fragrance, following the success of Daisy. The new perfume is set to launch this fall, with a more sensual and confident feel. Karlie stars in the ad campaign, directing her signature deep stare into Juergen Teller’s camera, while holding the huge floral bottle. “I’ve always worked with Juergen—he understands all of the facets of my women, and I told him I was very interested in Karlie,” said Marc. “She has a young and fresh look with a little bit of naughtiness in her eyes—like she’s not a true vamp, but it might be a role she’d like to play.”

The designer created the scent with Calice Becker of Givaudan and Ann Gottlieb, and it’s made up of pink peppercorn, pear d’anjou, ruby red grapefruit, fuchsia peony, rose and geranium, vanilla, tonka bean, and creamy musk. “Where Daisy is more innocent and sweet, Lola is more sensual—the name conjures up a flirtatious, warm spirit,” said Marc.

It will launch at Bloomingdale’s and Marc Jacobs stores in August, then will be sold in department stores beginning in September.
