How to Get Cara Delevingne's Eyebrows and More Tips From Brow Expert Anastasia Soare

We would have never thought in a million years that a memorable model feature could come close to Cindy’s beauty mark, but low and behold, we’d like to introduce you to Cara Delevingne’s eyebrows!  Cara’s picturesque full brows have quickly become fashion’s latest obsession and even have their own twitter page (no, seriously).  Making pencil-thin brows a thing of the past (thankfully) it’s always interesting to see how a young model can change the direction of beauty.  Two things have become very clear to us: one, we have got to learn how to get Cara’s eyebrows and two, we know just the person to turn to!  Luckily, The Definitive Brow and Eye Expert, Anastasia Soare, unlocked all of the industry eyebrow secrets just for us.

Breaking away from bombshell clients like Jennifer Lopez and Penelope Cruz, not to mention the ultimate super, Naomi Campbell, Anastasia discusses everything from fashion’s bleach-brow trend to the Top 3 eyebrow products every girl should have in their arsenal.  Anastasia instructs us on what to do if you have an eyebrow emergency and we have finally solved the “does over-plucking really age you” myth.  So if you’re lusting for Cara’s eyebrows just as much as we are, check out our interview with Anastasia below:

Model of the moment, Cara Delevingne, has to-die-for eyebrows.  What can our readers do to get Cara’s brows?

She has gorgeous brows, and uses my Tinted Brow Gel to fill them in.  I think the key is to not go crazy tweezing and to allow your brows to grow in full.  For a lot of us that might be able to grow hair that also happens to be sparse, you need to fake that full brow. Use Brow Pen which is a brow marker to draw in your desired shape, apply Brow Powder on top to give the look a natural finish, and maybe top it off with Tinted Brow Gel for a natural looking bold brow.

What do you think about the bleached brow trend in fashion right now?

I love it for the right girl; in fashion it’s easy for anything to look good as 18-year-old models are wearing the latest looks.  You have to do what works for you, and in some instances it might be bleaching, but if you’re not that brave, try ombre [fill in brows light in front, and darker towards the ends].

What are 2-3 products that every girl should own to maintain their eyebrows?

1.) A good brow pencil, to draw in your brow in minutes.

2.) Tinted Brow Gel, which creates volume while tinting, conditioning and holding your arch all day.

3.) Highlighting Pencil like my Brow Duality, to lift your arch and illuminate your eyes.

What is your preferred method with keeping up with your brows: plucking, waxing, threading etc.?

I always wax and tweeze.  It’s fast, clean and works for me

What do you do if you have a brow emergency (wax off too much, uneven shape, etc.)?

Products are always the key.  I can’t grow a clients brows back in with one session, so I teach her how to use the highlighter to mask brow hairs that are growing in sparsely, and powder with brow fix that creates the perfect pomade to fill in uneven or over tweezed brows.

We have heard that over-plucking your brows can age you.  Is this true?

Yes it can in a couple of ways; the most prominent ageing shaping technique is over-tweezing the ends of the brow & removing too much hair from the inside of the arch.  With age the first fine lines that appear are usually crows feet, and as skin looses elasticity we form a double lid. Removing hair from the end of the brow highlights the entire side of the face and illuminates fine lines and wrinkles. You want to keep your arch bolder and longer to mask the formation of lines.  The same applies with a double lid. Over tweezing the inside arches in an attempt to create a high arch, results in brows that look like Golden Arches and having less hair in that area creates a shadow for the crease of the lid. Eyes appear deeper set and this is ageing.
