Last week’s CFDA Awards hosted a red carpet that dazzled with some major industry stars, including the likes of sexy supermodel Erin Heatherton. For the big night celebrity makeup artist Quinn Murphy and Stylist Brent Lawler transformed the Victoria’s Secret beauty into a bronze goddess, and gave us the full scoop on how to recreate Erin’s show-stopping hair and makeup look.
To start, apply VS PRO Radiant FX Face Illuminator everywhere the sun would naturally hit: forehead, tops of cheekbones, bridge of nose, and tip of the chin. For that just-from-the-beach glow dust VS Makeup Baked Minerals Bronzing Powder in Goddess on temples, under cheekbones, and to the tip of the chin, followed with a sweep of VS Makeup Luminous Blush Duo in Starlet to compliment Erin’s base.
When it came time to dress up the model’s brown eyes, Murphy rimmed the upper and lower lashlines with VS Makeup Eyeliner in Dark Chocolate, and used a flat, firm liner brush to soften the lines for that subtle smoky-eye look. Next, blend the VS Makeup Shimmer Eye Shadow in Chestnut from lashline to crease and use some extra color on the outer corner of the eye to blend up and out towards the brow. Using your fingertips, dab Shimmer Eye Shadow in Taupe Love to the center of the lid and to the inner corner to create an eye-opening effect. Finish it all off with two coats of VS Makeup Triple Drama Mascara in Blackest Black.
With the focus on shimmery eyes, complete the red carpet look with a swipe of VS Lip Gloss in Intimate.
Looking to rock that playful pony on your next girls’ night out? With a 1 inch barrel curling iron, curl ends leaving a few pieces loose to naturally frame the face.
