In the Kitchen with Chrissy Teigen: Tailgate Style!

If you have read her blog, So Delushious (we happen to be avid readers), you’d know that Chrissy Teigen loves food. Actually, she doesn’t just love food, she is a complete nut (get it?) over tasty treats and is even taking her obsession all the way by enrolling into culinary school. So as the weather starts to turn a bit cooler and Sundays start to be taken over by football (plus, the NFL refs are back!), who better to turn to for a fun, easy and delicious tailgate-worthy snack than Chrissy!

Tailgating- or even hosting a fun football party at home- is all about snacks that are easy to make and easy to eat, because- let’s be honest, you’d rather be focused on the game and aren’t really interested in a lot of clean up afterwards. Another can’t miss item: bacon (what guy doesn’t like bacon?). One of our favorite recipes from Chrissy was Bacon Deviled Eggs.  Chrissy says this recipe “is so easy, so quick. Soooo pleasing. Unless you have those TERRIBLE friends that are always like, ‘ewww I just can doooo mayonnaise it’s sooo bad for you wahhhh…More for me!’” Save some for us!

Check out the drool-worthy recipe and Chrissy’s own pics, after the jump!

Bacon Deviled Eggs (YUM!)

You’ll need:

  • 4 peeled hard-cooked large eggs
  • 3 Tbs. mayo
  • 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbs. finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 2 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Hot sauce, to taste
  • Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper
  • Paprika for garnish

Chrissy Says:

Slice the eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks, transfer them to a small bowl, and mash them with the back of a spoon. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard,  the parsley and hot sauce. Mash until smooth. Stir in the chopped/cooked bacon and season to taste with salt and pepper. Fill the egg whites (I use a pastry bag because I am so  fancy like that). Sprinkle with little pinches of paprika — smoked paprika if you can find it!

Happy cooking!
