Well, ladies and gentleman, the Lara Stone and Marc Jacobs moment is finally here. When rumors began regarding the Spring 2010 campaign for Louis Vuitton, you can imagine the thrill we experienced upon finding out that Madonna had been ousted with Lara nabbing the role.
“After two seasons with such a huge star, [artistic director] Marc [Jacobs] decided to take a breather and work with a model—and not just any model. It’s the choice of a new supermodel,” said Antoine Arnault, LV’s communication director. “She clearly has a Brigitte Bardot look.”
So here’s a first look at what is sure to be an extraordinary campaign. Lara and Marc worked with Steven Meisel on the campaign, which features the now crowned supermodel alongside white doves and ferns. But this singular image is just a preview of what’s to come—a full six looks for LV, all of which are keeping up the lighthearted feel from Lara.
