Inside Heidi Klum's Haunted Holiday Bash!

On any other occasion, wearing  your Halloween costume in the month of December would be well, odd to say the least. But when Heidi Klum called upon party-goers to brave the New York City streets in full costume this weekend, you can bet they answered the call!

After cancelling her annual Halloween bash in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the Queen of Halloween came back in full force on Saturday night, playing host to a spectacular Haunted Holiday party benefiting The American Red Cross’s Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.  This time, with Santa Claus as her date for the evening, Heidi transformed Finale Nightclub into the site of her spooky soiree, leaving guests speechless in the presence of what may be one of her most beautiful costumes to date!

Going from Queen of the Runway to Queen of the Nile, the gorgeous supermodel sent jaws dropping as she finally debuted her Cleopatra costume that took designer Martin Izquierdo close to six months to create.  On top of the magnificent gold empire waist dress— which weighed nearly 40 pounds by itself— Heidi was decked out with a dazzling gold headdress, an impressive set of wings, and 18 inch stacked heels! However, the most impressive feature by far had to be Heidi’s incredible beauty look that was made up completely of tiny colored rhinestones and had her in the makeup chair for three hours!

“I was a little ugly last year, which I loved, but I always like to change it up” said Heidi.  “I always try to make it very innovative.” Adding, “I love Cleopatra, I think she’s beautiful.  So many movies have been out around her, and so many actresses have played her, and their makeup and costumes were always really special, so I thought that would be a great costume to go off of and make it even more special!”

Once inside the venue, Heidi joined the decked out crowd as DJ ?uestlove took over the sound system, spinning tracks by Jay Z, Rihanna, and Michael Jackson.  While A-list attendees including Leonardo DiCaprio dressed in a stellar Venetian mask, Amare Stoudemire as a stylish-looking Beast, Russell Simmons as Run DMC, Alyssa Miller as Julia Roberts’ Pretty Woman character, and Sharam Diniz as a flapper, danced the night away with Heidi, the Svedka stocked bar was busy passing out Halloween spirits— including a delicious Carmel apple inspired cocktail— and plenty of SmartWater.

As the evening progressed, fellow top models Harley Viera-NewtonAline Weber and Jasmine Tookes stopped by to get in on the action, just as glow-in-the-dark dancers hit the stage.  While Heidi and the gang continued to party well into the wee hours of the morning, the supermodel still looked as fresh faced as ever the next morning as she continued her Sandy relief efforts by teaming up with AOL and its Patch network of community sites for a day of volunteer work across Long Island.

It looks like Heidi will definitely find a place on Santa’s Good List this year!
