If you’re looking for a new film to see, we have just the option. After Modelinia heard rumors that Agyness Deyn was expanding her portfolio to include movie work, we knew her upcoming project would be a must-see on our list.

Mean to Me stars the busy gal, alongside Law & Order’s Linus Roache, as a 1930’s courtesan who finds her lover broke due to the Great Depression and forced to marry for money as opposed to love. “[Agyness] is a quiet person—but still waters run deep with her,” said director Peter McGough of her acting. “She took direction incredibly well, took the role very seriously…she has a real talent for this.” The twenty minute film took Agyness all of three days to shoot, complete with two hours in hair and makeup, not to mention a tutorial in the ways and movements of a 1930s woman. And for all you fashion lovers, there’s an added bit of the design world in this film: Zac Posen provided the dresses for Agyness’ wardrobe!

Catch this film fast, as it is screening for a limited time at Cheim & Read Gallery.
