We’d expect to see a model paired with young hip bands in a magazine like Nylon, but we’re tickled to see Sasha Pivovarova posing alongside musicians like Mika, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, and the Horrors in the new January 2010 issue of Vogue.
But with Steven Meisel, you never know what you’re going to get. Just look at his recent Twitter-obsessed issue of Vogue Italia. But back to the American version.
Modelinia has been obsessed with MGMT and Vampire Weekend for quite some time now, so we’re beyond excited to see that Steven turned his iPod inspiration into photo shoot decadence with Sasha for the editorial titled “Already Famous.” Penny Lane would be pleased, we’re sure.
