It seems Erin Wasson is filling in for Alexander Wang as the host of this season’s must-attend party. She made Wednesday night one to remember (or forget!) by serving Jell-O shots, and playing music from her favorite DJ, Jonathan Toubin. Erin showed off her collection for RVCA at Milk Studio’s penthouse, which was full of, as she puts it: “Things I want to wear!” It’s true, the models did looked like mini-Erins wearing her street-chic designs.
The guest list was tight—but once you were in the party was on. Guests pushed through, line after line, proving it was the see-and-be-seen event of Fashion Week. “This is insane!” said Joe Zee of Elle magazine. And insane it was. The packed space was filled with fashion insiders like Anne Slowey, Mickey Boardman, Amy Astley, Kate Lanphear, May Anderson, Leighton Meester (in new bangs), Anne Christensen, and of course, Erin’s BFF, Alex himself. The space was so crowded that two of the models went missing between the first and second showing. Never fear, they were eventually found.
Erin kept her cool through night while being interviewed by countless journalists, including fellow model-turned-journalist, Coco Rocha. But it wasn’t all work for Erin—we also caught her dancing and beaming at her girls on stage.
