Jenni Kayne Spring 2014
Jenni Kayne’s collection for Spring 2014 reinstates our obsession with those d’Orsay flats. Known for relaxed sportswear and luxe separates, Kayne’s inspiration is “…military + nautical prep gone ethnic.” The crisp white jumpsuits and oversized coats are tailored to perfection with clean lines and the shoulders are structured, offering a hint of androgyny to contrast the ease and fluidity in the wide legged trousers. Kayne spices up the traditional suit with an alligator skirt paired with a color block top. We anticipate that her famous footwear will stick around to compliment her new collection next spring!
Kate Spade Spring 2014
Kate Spade’s Spring 2014 presentation may have restored our faith in pink. Inspired by Monaco and different cities in France, the collection lit up the room with flirty dresses and bright handbags. Be sure to take a second look at what the models ready material- they are actually clutches designed to look like brightly colored books! The entire spring collection is kitschy and sophisticated all at the same time. We’re counting down the days until next spring to fill our closets with dresses for a garden party in the South of France. Who’s with us?
