Now that it’s officially Fall, it’s time we start booking our next beachside getaway! Australia? Mexico? Costa Rica? Who cares! We just miss the beach. What we don’t miss is the hunt for swimsuits and other beach attire. Bathing suits and surf wear are never easy to shop for, especially in the off season, but that’s where Prêt-a-Surf comes in. The brand’s designers Jillian Demling and Karen Mulligan thought up Prêt-a-Surf while shopping for a surfboard and clothing for a surf camp in Costa Rica. Irritated by the lack of fashionable product available (let’s face it, wetsuits only look good on James Bond beach babes), they decided to create a line that stylish and sporty women would actually want to wear.
The line is now favorited by celebrities and models alike with everyone from Blake Lively to Jessica Stam rocking the apparel and accessories; we even saw Karolina Kurkova wearing one of their shirts backstage at Proenza Schouler this past Fashion Week! Even though we’re still in the process of planning our next tropical vacation, we’re definitely going to stock up on this must-have beachwear. See you on the shore!
