Hey Models of the Runway fans! It’s Kalyn to give you the scoop on the last challenge before Bryant Park…
It’s an all-girl finale, folks! After the designers completed a look that drew from inspiration from the Getty Museum (which Tim Gunn described as “the heart of Los Angeles culture”), the top three designers were chosen. Irina, Carol Hannah, and Althea are going to Fashion Week! All the models assumed that the designers would be loyal to their models, and when the last model elimination came around we were proven right. Gordana and Christopher were extremely disappointed to have made it as far as they did and then get aufed, but both were honored to get as far as they did in the competition. With their designers eliminated, that meant Katie and Matar would not make it to Bryant Park.
Tanisha, Lisa, and I were all excited to be the final three models, but it was a bizarre feeling to say those last goodbyes and for the model house to be so empty. Matar and I became such good friends during the show. With her exotic beauty, killer walk, and down-to-earth personality and warmth, I have no doubt she will be highly successful. Katie was bummed that Christopher didn’t make it to Fashion Week, but left graciously, and I wish her the very best in her career.
