Kalyn, Modelinia’s Blogger for Models of the Runway, Talks About Episode 11

Hey Models of the Runway fans, it’s Kalyn here to give you a recap of Episode 11. There are only three episodes left until the finale and the tension between the designers and models could be cut with a knife! This week’s challenge was to design a companion piece for a previous winning look, and Logan’s “zipper explosion” look that Kojii modeled horrified the judges. Poor Kojii’s streak of being paired with losing designers came to a final end this week after all the designers stayed loyal to their favorite models for the last challenge before Bryant Park.

Althea had the winning design, and Tanisha was her model in paper bag-waistline pants and an oversize sweater. All the models were happy that Heidi didn’t pull any “model-switching” stunts, and it looked as though the designers we were with would either make or break us!

This week it was a sticky situation as accusations went flying! In the fashion world, double-sided tape is a model’s best friend. The dress that Irina designed for me kept falling down, so I put some on initially, but Katie notified a producer who came in the model holding room to tell me that I needed to take it off. I promptly did, but there was no convincing Katie that I didn’t, so she was not a happy camper and refused to give it up. Katie was on a campaign to get all the other models on board, but everyone else seemed to agree that my word was good enough and it was certainly not worth getting her panties in a ruffle about. It’s really down to the wire now, and with only one more challenge before Bryant Park, some models are desperate to stay in the competition!

Next week determines the top models and designers, and it’s an episode that cannot be missed. See you on the runway!

XO,
Kalyn
