Hey Models of the Runway fans, it’s Kalyn here for thoughts on Week Three!
Last night’s episode was drama-filled, both on and off the runway. This week’s challenge was to create a fun and fashionable surf-wear look, and the designers were paired in teams—meaning the models had to work in teams as well. This was bad news for Vanessa and Fatma, who were with Ramon and Mitchell. Vanessa was mad at Fatma for bad-mouthing Mitchell, and when Fatma tried to apologize, Vanessa wouldn’t accept her apology, making things tense between the two of them. I had tried to stay out of the drama, and was in bed with a case of food-poisoning during their big fight, so I was trying to make sense of it when I saw it on TV! I’m still confused as to why Vanessa continued to drag it out…
Erika Macke opted to bow out of the competition when she landed a national Arby’s commercial, so Valerie was brought back to take her place on the runway. There was a lot of model-swapping going on last night, so everyone was nervous. The winner, Ramon, stuck with Vanessa, but Fatma’s designer, Mitchell, was eliminated, so she wasn’t quite sure if she would be chosen again. Louise ended up choosing Fatma, and Erica Milde was sent home in the end after Epperson chose Matar. Erica Milde was a great model and friend, so we were really sad to see her go.
