Kalyn, Modelinia’s Blogger for Models of the Runway, Talks About Episode 8

Hey Models of the Runway fans! It’s Kalyn to give you a recap on Episode 8.

This week the models were replaced! Don’t worry—it was just for one week, and the guest models were an absolute joy to work with. The models were all divorced women who were ready to begin a new chapter of their lives, and the designers challenge was to make hip, cool outfits for them to wear using their old wedding dresses. Gordana won the challenge with her “chic and edgy” look, so Tara (who was Gordana’s consistent model) was pretty confident that Gordana would pick her at model elimination when she got a chance. There was a big misunderstanding and Gordana picked Matar, thinking that Althea would pick Tara again. Althea ended up stealing Tanisha, and it was Tara who was the last model left standing on the runway. I don’t think any of the models expected Tara to go home so early. She was just a gem, a wonderful model, and the only blonde on the show!

Epperson was sent home after making an outfit that Heidi said looked like something that would be seen at Oktoberfest, so Kojii was worried again, but was safe in the end. Logan was also slaughtered on the runway, so many models were concerned this week and speculation was rampant. It took the edge off of our worries when we got to go out with the divorcées and hear their inspiring stories and great advice. We also gave them tips for the runway and had fun helping them out on their walks.

The models are back on the runway next week and Bob Mackie is the guest judge, meaning the challenge has to be one of the greatest in Project Runway history. You can’t miss it!
