Hi Models of the Runway fans!
It’s Kalyn! Can you believe Episode 9 is already over? Last night was a thrilling challenge as Christina Aguilera and Bob Mackie were the guest judges. The challenge for the designers was to create something that Christina could wear to perform onstage. The models got to wear tons of glitter, beading, and fun outfits this week (for the most part!).
Ebony was stuck in a black dress that Shirin designed, which ended up getting Shirin eliminated. Therefore Ebony was pretty sure she could be going home. Katie was very outspoken about Christopher’s designs and made it clear he better step it up for fear she might be going home. Carol Hannah designed the winning look, so Lisa was exceptionally happy.
At model elimination, Heidi switched things up on us, and the designers were forced to choose new models yet again. Althea picked Lisa and Carol Hannah picked Tanisha, so it was surmised that this was designed to keep both models in the running so that these two designers could get their favorites back. Ebony thought she might be safe since the designers could choose new models, but no one ended up choosing her, so she was sent packing.
Other exciting events this week included a casting for a Garnier commercial. Most of the girls breezed through the commercial filming, but unfortunately Lisa had trouble memorizing and delivering her lines. Poor Lisa. It was her first casting where she had to speak, so nerves likely got the best of her. Though they only showed Katie talking about getting a callback, several of us got one, including Tanisha, Matar, Kojii, and me. I enjoy auditions where I get to talk and show my personality, so going on the Garnier casting was right up my alley, along with several of the other girls.
Only three episodes remain before the Season 6 finale, and we’re down to seven models! Tune in next week to see the competition dwindle down one more designer and model. See you then!
