Hey Models of the Runway fans!
Finally, after months and months of waiting, the results of Project Runway and Models of the Runway were announced! The finale was filmed in February, and the results have been kept under wraps until now… and Irina is the winning designer and I am the winning model!
While Althea and Carol Hannah had strong collections, Irina certainly was deserving of the grand prize. Irina’s collection was so detailed and cohesive, and I loved the 13th look she had me wear on the runway.
Wow! I was so overwhelmed and excited to have the honor of being paired with the winning designer. Having my parents there during Fashion Week and to share in the excitement of winning was very meaningful to me. It was fun to relive the winning moment when I watched the show last night at a viewing party with Irina and several other Project Runway designers and models….so exciting!
Tanisha, Lisa, and I had our last “Heidi chat” on the runway, and she took us through some of the highlights of the first season of Models of the Runway. What a crazy, wonderful journey—we all enjoyed seeing the drama, laughter, joy, and tears throughout the competition. We were all proud of our designers and honored to be a part of such a fabulous show.
I am very excited to shoot the Marie Claire spread and to receive the $25,000 prize! So many new doors are already opening, and I hope to use this opportunity to take the next steps in my career, both in modeling and acting. A big thank you to Modelinia, and to all of the amazing fans and supporters!
