A yellow, purple, and white army of models, lead by Abbey Lee Kershaw opened the Chanel Resort 2012 collection on Monday evening on the French Riviera. Transitioning from one paradise to another, Karl Lagerfeld upped last year’s boardwalk moment in St Tropez by renting out the entire Hotel du Cap, in Antibes in order to entertain a selection of celebrites and editors including Rachel Bilson and Blake Lively.
A host of models ranging from well-known faces to highly in-demand runway girls traveled to the French Riviera to be a part of the latest Chanel runway, including Kristen McMenamy, Karolina Kurkova, Natasha Poly, Karlie Kloss, and Daphne Groeneveld. But while Mirte Maas, Sigrid Agren, and Siri Tollerød showed off perfectly pressed suits made for the lady who lunches, it was 42 year old Kristen who braved the swimsuit attire, followed by Fei Fei Sun, Shu Pei Qin, and Magdalena Frackowiak. Excuse us as we switch out our bikinis for more reserved one pieces, because if Karl and the models approve, we’re on board.
