In case you missed it, androgyny is having a bit of a fashion moment as of late, thanks to more than a few of today’s fearless top models. Following some initial buzz created by gender-bending models Andrej Pejic and Casey Legler, Saskia de Brauw managed to capture of few headlines of her own when she was shot modeling some well-tailored looks from Hedi Slimane’s Saint Laurent men’s collection. And while we would typically agree that three makes a trend, we were hesitant to slap a label on the recent rise in androgyny— that is, until we saw this!
For the December issue of M le Monde, Karlie Kloss parted ways with her usual girly girl attire in order to transform into the ultimate pretty boy. Shot by photographer Daniel Sannwald, the down-to-earth beauty was captured giving a whole lot of masculine attitude while sporting a slicked back do and some ’50s greaser duds.
Of course, that’s just one half of the transformative shoot, the second part of which sees Karlie in an eclectic series of vibrant shots featuring looks by Lanvin, Balenciaga, Mugler and Dolce & Gabbana. One thing is for sure, whether she’s doing tomboy glam or artful diva, Karlie Kloss is a modeling force to be reckoned with! Get the full look at Karlie’s funky new shoot in the slideshow below!
