“There is an art to being a Victoria’s Secret Angel,” Karlie Kloss gushed while in makeup backstage at yesterday’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. “You see the pros like Adriana and Alessandra and they can just turn it on and have fun!”
Even though this was Karlie’s very first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, she was calm and collected while sitting in awe of where she was and who she was surrounded by. “I feel like I’m living the dream to be honest. I’m here with these girls that I’ve idolized my entire life and as an American girl I can’t believe I’m about to be a part of Victoria’s Secret which sets the ideal of beauty for a lot of girls across this country,” she said.
Karlie, who’s been gathering tips from her Angel friend Chanel Iman, had no set formula for what she’d do once she stepped foot on the glittery runway. “When I get out there I’m just going to go with whatever feels right. I’m going to fly by the seat of my wings - literally.” With two sets of wings, a total of three looks, and closing the entire show, a rarity for a newcomer, Karlie’s already proving how far she’ll go with Victoria’s Secret. “I feel like I’m the luckiest girl in the world!”
