A few months ago, luxury retail group Americana Manhasset gave Karlie Kloss the full Betty Draper treatment for their kitschy 50’s housewives inspired spring catalogue. While we loved seeing Karlie don the iconic flipped ‘do, the model has decided to trade in her apron for some flapper fringe this Fall.
Inspired by The Artist, the Long Island-based luxury retailer’s Fall 2012 catalogue- entitled “Speechless”- shot the St. Louis beauty sporting a dark bob a la Louise Brooks, black rimmed eyes, and some pretty extravagant threads by the likes of St. John, Burberry Prorsum, and Jimmy Choo.
Paying tribute to the era of silent films, Karlie is featured dancing the Charleston along with some rather cute costars for the black and white shoot, namely Uggie the Oscar-winning film’s own Jack Russell terrier and male model Clément Chabernaud. Together, the rip-roaring crew will also appear in a short silent film to accompany the catalogue to-be released this August, which will broadcast on Taxi TV throughout Fashion Week- no speakeasy password necessary
