Kate Moss Makes Zebra a Thing

So right now bloggers are kind of freaking out about the fact that Kate Moss dyed her hair gray for the launch party at the Ritz in Paris for her new line with Longchamp. Lest we forget that Karl Lagerfeld also sent his models down the runway for the Chanel Couture show just this week with streaks of lighter hues? Modelinia can just see Kate calling up Karl for a bit of his beauty team’s last-minute touch-ups. She is always perfectly on-trend.

As for the festivities, on the party rounds were Maryna Linchuk, Frida Gustavsson, and Joan Smalls—there, of course, to support their fellow model in her latest endeavor. We’ve already shown you the first looks at the handbags, but the advertising campaign deserves some attention on its own. Add a bit of pop culture to the superpower of Kate and you’ll end up with these tag lines: “Don’t You Wish Your Bag Was Hot as Kate’s?,” “An Absolute Moss-Have,” “Kate Is Not a Plastic Bag,” and “My Moss Bag Brings All the Boys to the Yard.”

Speaking of trends, we’re totally loving that zebra is slowing becoming Kate’s thing—from the steps at the Met Costume Institute Gala, which she hosted, to the lining of one of her bag designs, to the carpet and walls at the Ritz last night. Carine Roitfeld was also spotted in a zebra coat this week in Paris, so between the two style icons, it’s obviously going to become even more of a thing.
