When we first heard that Simon Cowell was looking to enlist Kate Moss as a style consultant for the UK’s X Factor reality series, we’ll admit, we were weary of getting our hopes up. Fashion collaboration rumors are a dime a dozen these days and the thought of the notoriously tight-lipped supermodel putting her modeling hot streak on hold for the reality singing competition seemed rather ridiculous. If there is even some truth to these recent X Factor reports though, then it might be time for us to officially start freaking out!
According to Grazia UK, Simon Cowell is currently working on ‘Plan Kate,’ which would have the iconic model on hand to style the contestants in one of the live shows for a Britpop tribute! The role is also said to be part of a series of “unmissable TV moments,” in which Kate would advise the singers on their style and on-stage attire, all the while discussing her fondest Britpop and ’90s fashion memories in honor of the show’s 10th anniversary.
Kate Moss— speaking— on live TV! Seems almost too good to be true! Our thoughts exactly, except that these latest details seem much more plausible compared to the initial rumors. Sources have even confirmed that Cowell has known Kate for years, and we all know that she has made no secret about her love for the program, having appeared in the audience back in 2008. Add Kate’s apparent interest to her recent string of tell-all interviews and ever-increasing number of public appearances, and we’d say this is one collaboration rumor worth looking into. Fingers crossed while we wait to see Kate make her reality TV debut!
